MY STORY

I'm a wife, a mama to two elementary school aged kiddos, and have been a registered physiotherapist since 2010.

I actually stumbled upon the field of physiotherapy kind of by accident. I was searching for a way to use the knowledge acquired from my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (McGill 2008) in a practical, meaningful way. I graduated from the University of Ottawa's Master’s of Physiotherapy program and from the very beginning of my career, I realized that I was not drawn to conventional orthopedic physiotherapy.

I spent the first 6 years of my career training clients with complex neurological conditions in a private rehab setting. Then, I became unexpectedly interested in women’s health. I noticed that many of my female clients with Multiple Sclerosis or spinal cord injuries had associated pelvic floor dysfunction and I was determined to find a way to help them. I also had my own children around that time and ended up with my own pelvic issues! The whole experience made me so interested in learning about how physiotherapy can treat pelvic floor dysfunction that I spent my second maternity leave taking every course I could find!

Now, it is my mission to share my pelvic health knowledge with as many women as possible.

Strong, empowered mamas raise strong, empowered kids.
